- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes. Doing this ensures that your burgers cook evenly.
- Place the frozen hamburger patties in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Make sure to leave some space between them for air circulation.
- Slide the basket into the air fryer and cook the burgers at 400 degrees F (200°C) for 7 minutes.
- After 7 minutes, carefully flip the burgers using tongs or a spatula. This step ensures even cooking on both sides of your air fryer burgers.
- Continue cooking the burgers for an additional 4-7 minutes, depending on your preferred level of doneness. If you're not sure the burgers are done, you can use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature.
- Once the burgers reach your desired level of doneness, feel free to add a slice of cheese on top of each patty and return them to your turned-off air fryer for about 1 minute to melt the cheese.
Notes
Frozen Hamburger Patties: Frozen patties are really convenient and cook quickly in the air fryer. You can substitute store-bought patties with homemade burger patties.
While this recipe doesn't require seasoning the patties, you have the option to enhance their flavor by sprinkling each frozen patty with garlic powder, onion powder, Montreal steak seasoning, salt, pepper, or cayenne pepper according to your taste preferences.
